About

Slip Stream GP is an independent Formula 1 site run by Pasindu Senavirathna. After every practice session, qualifying, sprint and Grand Prix it publishes a short, numbers-first read on what happened and what it means for the rest of the weekend.

How reports are made

Shortly after each session the site fetches the timing data and forecast from Jolpica-F1, OpenF1, Wikidata and Wikipedia, Wikimedia Commons and MET Norway. The results tables, charts and results cards are built directly from that data. The text is then written automatically with the help of AI (Google Gemini, with a backup model through OpenRouter), from a list of checked facts, so every number in a report comes from the data. Race and sprint results are checked again 3 and 24 hours later and updated if the stewards change anything.

Photos are only used under a free licence, with the photographer and licence credited under each one.

Who is behind it

I’m Pasindu, an F1 enthusiast and university student. I built Slip Stream GP because I wanted one place where every session, not just the race, gets a proper write-up with the real numbers: who was quick, by how much, on which tyres, and what it means for the rest of the weekend. It is a hobby project, run in my own time, and it will keep growing as I learn.
